‘I love you passionately’: Thinking borders after Gherasim Luca

13.15–15.30 Monday 21 September in LUX:C426, Helgonavägen 3 in Lund

Cosmina Moroșan & Anticorp Solar

A portrait cut in to cubes and rearranged.
Artwork by Gherasim Luca.

This seminar with Cosmina Moroșan and Anticorp Solar uses the work of poet and writer Gherasim Luca as a fulcrum for future work about borders in poetry and literature. We will consider Luca as an inventor of a style of thinking about migration as a way of life and the challenges involved in crossing physical and abstract borders highlighting unexpected love in the face of political and existential threats. The seminar will contain a series of short presentations followed by a discussion about what to do next. The aim is to share information, forge connections and discuss a process for future work.

The seminar is open to anyone with an interest in borders, border studies and literature. You do not have to register in advance.
